SPOTLIGHT ON SELF-LEVELLING COMPOUNDS

Fri, 26/04/2024

This month we focus on self levelling compounds, used increasingly for flat roofing in the UK due to far better specifications and properties than other flat roof types (click here for a comparative breakdown).

Flat roof levelling compounds are not compulsory when it comes to polymer roofing - if they weren't we wouldn't be able to install or repair pitched roofs, which we can and do - often! The key is the addition or subtraction of a thixotropy additive, thixotropic materials being ones whose viscosity changes over time. For flat roof polymer self-levelling compounds, we simply use this to our advantage.

This of course means the process is highly time-dependent, requiring thorough knowledge of the timings and properties of the compounds themselves, and expertise in containing the materials within the desired area.

What now?

We work UK-wide and promise fast, professional, knowledgeable roofing from people who really care about roofs!
