We often get enquiries from people asking whether we're able to retrofit a warm roof (a roof that conforms to government regulations on heat transfer across roofing materials). The answer is, yes.
Put simply, retrofitting a warm roof involves either stripping back the existing roof (if there is no room for the roof to increase vertically) and refurbishing, or layering additional components over the existing roof.
The latter is the simplest - requiring the fitting of insulation, decking and a vapour barrier, before topping with a polymer coating.
