Roofs are not designed to hold a large weight of water, so any pooling or 'ponding' water that does not drain away from a flat roof within 48 hours indicates a serious problem. Ponding can damage a roof's structural integrity, resulting in expensive repairs and potentially invalidating warranties.
Self-levelling compounds work by filling dips and restoring the original taper of the roof, allowing proper drainage once more. The polymer system offers unprecedented flexibility however, enabling many variations of this depending on your roof. The system uses a combination of liquid polyurethane, a targeted primer, geo-textiles if they are appropriate fror your roof, and can be applied as is (which is self-levelling) or with the self-levelling thixotrophic additive removed. These are applied as a single component via a roller or an airless spray, and no reinforcement layer is required. The compound is fully cured within 24 hours but if required a further additive can be included to speed this process even more.
