Well, Spring 2018 has so far thrown the weather works at us - from record breaking low temperatures and heavy snow in March to the record breaking heatwave of April, it's been a Spring of Surprises. Unfortunately for some this has meant a nasty surprise in that the extremes of weather have revealed a host of roof problems.
Some are simply old and worn but it's also the case that not all roof types can stand up to these extremes - heat and cold can cause intense contraction and expansion both in the materials themselves and where materials meet. With certain materials (see our comparison section) this can result in cracking and leakage - especially where water ingresses into cracks and then freezes or alternatively, where concentrated heat causes even quite minor melting of e.g tar based bitumen.
The polymer system is easily able to withstand these extremes. What's more because it is jointless and seamless, it does not crack (instead it chalks or flakes, giving the roof owner plenty of notice). It's high spec, quick and affordable to install, suitable for nearly any roof, and is guaranteed to last for between 10-25 years depending on the system you choose.
