The owner of this seventies style flat roof home in Aberystwyth had had enough of re-roofing!

Originally covered in mastic asphalt, then covered in metal clad box profile metal roofing sheets 10 years ago, this flat roof had undergone minor repair after minor repair.

Tired of these short term roof fixes, the owner actioned a 20 year liquid membrane flat roofing system with a high level of insulation, high enough to bring the roof's U-value down to an incredible 0.13 W/m2K, easily fulfilling the criteria for warm roofing (including cold bridging the parapet walls)

Powerdeck F insulation boards were laid and the carrier membrane fitted over the top. Powerdeck F insulation boards offer high performance PIR foam boarding designed specifically for use in warm roofing, They are CFC free and HCFC free (so zero ozone depletion), demonstrate exceptionally low thermal conductivity and are, and so strong that no over-boarding is needed, saving you money.

After application of the base coat and heavy gauge matting to both the main roof area and the lower balcony, all the areas were top coated and the roof completed,

As with all our roofs, the roof area was safe to walk on after only 6 hours and weather resistant, UV resistant, waterproof and fireproof just 1 hour after application!

... And with a 20 year guarantee, the owner can now relax, his roof problems fixed.
