The roof edge channels rainwater to the side channels

This roof in Llandinam (SY17) was an unusual project in terms of shape and design - constituting a wide strip of roofing surrounding a central opening for an extra large skylight lantern aperture over a sun room. The roofing area also needed to be meticulously tapered to the guttering to provide thorough drainage from the central area to avoid puddling, which could damage the roof structure and impair safety. We used two outlets draining to a…

This small roof extension near Aberystwyth SY23 was no problem for the polymer system despite its small size and some detailing such as the upstanding ventilation pipe in the photograph - the photo demonstrates just how "perfect forming" the polymer system is as well as the level, jointless and seamless finish even at small scale.

As with all our roofs, this warm roof extension was fully mechanically cured within 72 hrs, waterproof,…

The area was undercoated, sealing it jointlessly and seamlessly

The GRP fibreglass on this adjoined flat roof near Aberystwyth in West Wales was looking tired and patchy, and would have needed replacing entirely before long had the owners not decided upon a preemptive refurb.

As the pictures show, polymer overcoating the existing roof was straightforward - flat roofs are our speciality (though we work equally well with pitched & highly detailed roofs). The new system bonds fully to the GRP…

Its patinated copper roof spires are an integral part of its traditional look and stately charm, but over the years they have worn and perished, their seams nearly disintegrating and the copper plates pocking and eroding.

The owners were very keen to preserve the beautiful "copper look" so,…

Overlay in progress

This school near Aberystwyth in Ceredigion, West Wales required a cold roofing system (click for more on cold and warm roofs) for a flat area adjoined to a larger roof.

The pictures above show the overlaid system in progress, creating a durable, affordable roofing system that is jointless and seamless, making leaks a thing of the past.

We have worked on a wide variety of school and council buildings, partly due to the fact…

Then the entire insulated area is levelled

This flat roof in Waunfawr, Aberystwith in Ceredigion (West Wales) required warm roof insulation to comply with government U-values regarding (a measure of the rate of heat transfer across a surface). Roof "obstacles" and detailing are no problem at all for the polymer system but in this case were sparse, being limited primarily to chimney venting.

We installed the requisite insulation course (see our specialist warm roof / flat roof…
